  Seating was slow as the hostess was not at her station when I arrived, but not terrible. My waiter didn't serve me until the host reminded him that I was in his section..10ish minutes later. Not a huge wait, but it was a very slow night and he was standing right by my table counting his wallet the whole time. He seemed "out of it" or confused all night and would only refer to me as babe or baby. When handling my bill later, he charged my credit card for the table next to me and had to reverse the charges....again, slow night, much higher amount for the other table, he was out of it. I'm a fairly understanding person and would normally overlook nearly all of that. However, the food was just not very good. The oysters did not taste fresh. I tried the crawfish balls. They were cakey and overly spicy. I like spicy but this was just too much. The "cream sauce" that was meant for dipping was basically a super thick white biscuit gravy with chunks of sausage in it. It was not appetizing at all. I was in the area on business and usually like to have 1-2 nice meals while traveling, and this was a disappointment.

  Husband and I just left there after waiting to get seated about 30 minutes. Then we ordered 4 dozen oysters. Well after another 30 another waitress came and brought only 1 dozen. All the other customers were getting theirs. Our waitress never did go in the kitchen or come to us. So we left. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone

  Austin our server was very attentive and makes a great margarita. I had the seafood platter which was great but overpriced. The eggplant Orleans was really yummy

  We were driving around looking for a seafood restaurant and saw Wentzle's. We decided to give it a try. Excellent choice!!! We shared the onion rings and the shrimp tacos. The sauce on the shrimp was wonderful. It had a little kick, but just enough to make it great. We would definitely come again if we are in the area!!

  Excellent food and service!! Larry was our server and he was great! We had fried green tomatoes appetizer, hubby had seafood platter, I had eggplant, crab, shrimp dish. Definitely will go again!!!
